Additional Speakers Announced for 2010 Conference

We began planning for next year knowing that most of our speakers from 2009 were enthusiastic at the prospect of joining us for next year's conference, not least John Milbank, Graham Ward and Alister McGrath. I am happy to annouce the next list of additions.

The Revd Dr Vivian Boland will speak on education and learning in the writings of Thomas Aquinas, which is the subject of his monograph St Thomas Aquinas in the Continuum Library of Educational Thought.

The Revd Dr James Heard will discuss what can be learned from the Alpha Course. Combining these insights with a study of patristic catechesis, he will present a vision of thoughtful, catholic on-going education in the twenty-first century.

Vivian Boland OP BD STL STD (Rome)

    Director of the Aquinas Institute
Vivian Boland is a Member of the Theology Faculty of Oxford University who also lectures in the Blackfriars Studium on Moral and Pastoral Theology. He is author of several books on St Thomas Aquinas including Ideas in God According to Saint Thomas Aquinas. His areas of interest include Aquinas' Greek sources, moral theology and the relationship between virtue-theory and psychotherapy. He is Student Master for the English Dominicans.

    The Revd Dr James Heard

James Heard is the assistant curate of All Saint's, Fulham in the Diocese of London. His doctorate examined the Alpha Course in great detail and is to be published as a monograph by Paternoster at the beginning of 2010. Before training for ordination, James helped to administer the Alpha Course from its base at Holy Trinity Brompton.

Affiliate Marketing is an Internet-based marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate's marketing efforts. It is an application of crowdsourcing.[citation needed] Examples include rewards sites, where users are rewarded with cash or gifts, for the completion of an offer, and the referral of others to the site.

The affiliate marketing industry has four core players: the merchant (also known as 'retailer' or 'brand'), the network, the publisher (also known as 'the affiliate') and the customer. The market has grown in complexity to warrant a secondary tier of players, including affiliate management agencies, super-affiliates and specialized third parties vendors.
